On November 4th, 2022, Chrysalis will be hosting the 10th and final evening of Driving Out Domestic Violence - one of the
Valley’s most exclusive fundraising events. Thanks to supporters like you, over the past nine years we’ve raised over $2.2
million to help bring comfort and safety to survivors of domestic abuse.
Lauren Teahen and her husband Mark, a retired professional baseball player, founded Driving Out Domestic Violence in
honor of Lauren’s late mother, Shelley, a domestic abuse survivor. This year’s exclusive gala brings the event full circle.
Starting in Lauren and Mark’s backyard in 2011, then growing over the years into a large two-day event, this year
culminates in an exclusive evening right back where it once began. This event would not be possible without the help of
many chairs and co-chairs, and we look forward to honoring each of them at this year’s event.
For the past 40 years, Chrysalis has led the community in broad-based solutions to prevent domestic abuse. Services
include crisis shelter, transitional housing, outpatient counseling, offender treatment, victim advocacy, and lay-legal
