Description

21st Annual Duck Classic

Duck Classic is the largest fundraiser in Northeast Arkansas and one of the largest fundraisers in the state, bringing together thousands of people from a 12-state radius. The much anticipated Duck Classic banquet features dinner, both silent and live auctions, raffles and plenty of fun. The following morning, dozens of teams will set out for the Duck Classic Hunt. The winning teams share in prize packages worth nearly $10,000.

Duck Classic is the primary fundraiser to support NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation. The mission of NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation is to enhance the health care and lives of those we serve through the programs and services we support.

We do this through six free programs:
• ShareHope – a program for those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth or in the first few months of life
• Wellness Works – a free medically monitored fitness program available exclusively for diabetic, cardiopulmonary, and cancer patients
• Center For Good Grief – offers free grief counseling for children, teens and adults who are grieving the loss of a loved one
• Center for Healthy Children – a free after school program for children who struggle with obesity. This program helps children and their families reach healthy goals through exercise and nutrition
• Medicine Assistance Program – assists patients to attain their prescription medications for free. In working with the pharmaceutical companies, we provide an avenue for patients to receive life-saving prescription at no cost
• HopeCircle – provides a community of hope, support, and educational programs for families living with cancer

In addition to these six free programs, our Foundation also serves our community in a multitude of other ways. Some examples:
Our Employee Assistance Fund offers financial help to our team members after an unexpected event.
We provide food and housing assistance through our Chaplain's Fund to patients who don't have basic needs met.
We provide gas cards and transportation for cancer patients who may not otherwise be able to travel to their needed appointments through HopeCircle.
With our Together For Her Fund, our Foundation funds free mammograms to ensure that all women have access to life-saving screenings.
We created the Luke Brodell AED Fund to ensure that every school, gymnasium, community center and local park has a functioning AED on site.

There are just some of the countless ways our Foundation meets the needs of the community around us; all of which is possible because of this event.

Thank you for your consideration.
