The family and friends of Al “Mr. Owl” Dunn are having a fund raising event on June 5, 2022, entitled “Dunn Day” in an effort to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This incredible organization aids in research and development regarding blood cancer while also providing financial support to families that are affected by these conditions.

Al “Mr. Owl” Dunn was a keyboard player in Syracuse for over 40 years. He performed with many bands including Letizia and the Z Band, Featherstone, and Masters of Reality. He dedicated his life to music and he used those talents to help raise money for many great causes.

Al was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in December, 2013, and passed away 5 weeks later. Through this fundraising, we hope to aid in finding a cure for this fast moving cancer and to save another family the grief that this disease brings.

The event will be held at Murray’s Kitchen 2722 Burnet Ave. Syracuse June 5, 2022 from 2 until 6.
