Dear Community Partner,
On behalf of Eden United Church of Christ, we want to thank you for all you do to serve the needs of our northwest Chicago communities. We know all too well these are tough times to serve customers, patients, and members. We need tenacity, solidarity and a "can do" attitude. We are stronger when we remember we're in this together.
This sense of community partnership has grown in Eden Church over the last decade, and we write today to invite you to support our current need. Over the last decade, we've replaced half of our roof over our campus of gym, classrooms and parsonage. We're raising funds now to replace our original sanctuary roof which has lasted 92+ years because of the craftsmanship of our forefathers and many frugal patchings. Thankfully - even in the pandemic - we've raised over $200,000 so far, more than 2/3 third of what we need.
This April, Eden United Church of Christ, a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization, will host a Raffle Calendar fundraiser to benefit the Raising the Roof fund. This event will feature one substantial raffle prize each day for the entire month of April, the calendars will be sold for $15 each and the proceeds will make a big difference in helping us reach our fundraising goal. Last year’s raffle was a hugely successful fundraiser for us raising more than $7,000!
We are in the process of collecting items for this raffle and are writing to ask if you can help by making a tax-deductible monetary, in-kind or merchandise donation. Merchandise or gift certificates donated will be raffled as part of our fundraiser. We are asking for your help as community members, customers, providers, and friends. We will be working hard a the beginning of 2021 to reach or goal of having all our raffle items in hand by February 15th.
