EdUCate!, The University City Foundation for Public Schools, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing supplemental resources to five public schools in the University City community of San Diego. The five schools are Curie, Doyle and Spreckels Elementary Schools; Standley Middle School; and University City High School. We fund school wide grants, classroom grants, a financial literacy program for all 5th graders, a free after-school Math Academy & Homework Club, and student mental health support.

On Friday, March 21, 2025, EdUCate! will host our annual “Taste of the Triangle” event at the beautiful Farmer & The Seahorse restaurant. Local restaurants and chefs serve samples of their cuisine to taste. A VIP Reception precedes the event. Each year “Taste” attracts hundreds of San Diego parents, educators and public officials to a fun-filled evening that raises money to improve the quality of education in University City public schools.  This event has grown into the largest charity event for education in the Golden Triangle. More than 20 local restaurants and 150 business donors support the event. 

We are currently gathering items for our Taste of the Triangle Silent Auction, and we hope that you will be willing to join in support of our local public schools. Your auction item will be featured online with a link to your organization and in our program at the event.
