On May of 2017, Ella Mertens passed away due to an undiagnosed genetic heart defect. In her 13 months, she touched the hearts of everyone she met. Ella’s Umbrella is a nonprofit that celebrates hope. It's mission is to transform heartbreak into healing by creating connections for the purpose of bettering and saving lives. We do this through supporting grieving people, funding pediatric heart research, and advancing pediatric heart technology.

On Saturday, April 6th, 2024, the weekend of 8th Ella's Birthday, we will be hosting our annual trivia night at the IBEW Local 1. All the proceeds from the event will go directly to Ella’s Umbrella. We have found that bringing people together to have fun for a great cause is a winning proposition for everyone involved, including sponsors.
