Description

Healthy Acadia is excited to be opening a recovery center in Ellsworth.  The center at 24 Church Street in Ellsworth will offer a safe and fun environment for people in substance recovery to come and connect with others in the recovery community.

On Saturday, September 18th, we will be hosting an open house.  We are inviting members of the community to come together for family friendly activities, a silent auction, tours of the center and to see what the recovery center is all about.

Healthy Acadia’s Substance Recovery programming provides supports to those with substance use disorders (SUD).  We offer free recovery coaching services, support to SUD providers, connect people to recovery resources, help to remove barriers to treatment and work with the Ellsworth Police Department with Project Hope.  Project Hope offers people with SUD the opportunity to go into the police department, turn in any illicit drugs and paraphernalia with no questions asked.  Healthy Acadia’s Project Hope “Angels” then help them get into a rehabilitation facility.

To increase our capacity to support community members in recovery, we are holding a silent auction as part of our recovery center open house. Auction items through donationmatch will assist us in building community connections and financial resources for this programming. We appreciate your time and consideration.
