Description

Embrave: Agency to End Violence (Formerly Interim Place) is hosting our 11th Annual Steps to End Violence walk, which will be hosted at J.C. Saddington Park in Port Credit, Mississauga on Sunday August 27th, 2023. We walk to raise awareness about the issue of gender-based violence and to remember those who have lost their lives to an act of violence.  All funds raised at this event will directly support Embrave’s work in providing shelter, support, counselling, and advocacy for survivors of gender-based violence in our community.

I know in previous years you have been a fantastic support for our events, and we truly are grateful for our ongoing contributions and partnerships. I am writing to request that you consider donating an item on behalf of your organization that can be used in a raffle at the event. All money raised will be used to continue to provide emergency shelter, healing, transportation, safety planning, counselling, vital supports, and referrals for survivors of violence and their children. For survivors, our supports are a lifeline, your donation and support are vital to our ability to provide these lifesaving services.

Now more than ever, our donors play a critical role in our ability to fulfil our commitment to those we serve. Your leadership in community philanthropy enables Embrave to be a leader in ending gender-based violence. Thank you for supporting survivors of violence at Embrave in imagining a future without violence.
