The Lake County Public Library prides itself in being a very active contributor to the Lake Area United Way through employee donations and staff volunteerism. The United Way is a vital part of the Lake County community through the many volunteers and non-profit agencies which serve Lake County in many aspects of life. The library is committed to helping out in any way possible through creative United Way fundraising activities.
This year’s library employee campaign theme is BACK THROUGH THE DECADES! The library is holding a Staff In-Service Day which will include the United Way Campaign Kickoff (games & activities) and Benefit Fair on Monday, October 14, 2019 at our Merrillville (Main Branch) location. This event will have close to 175 employees in attendance. We would be grateful if you would sponsor our event by donating a prize for our Employee Raffle in which all proceeds will be donated to the Lake Area United Way. Any item no matter how small will be greatly appreciated. If donating, please have prizes sent in by Monday, October 7, 2019.
