Empty Bowls is Tarrant Area Food Bank's largest fundraiser of the year, celebrating the art and cuisine of this community. Each guest will get to choose a hand crafted, decorative bowl, created by one of our talented artists, to take home. Artist use a variety of mediums and techniques to create these one-of-a-kind pieces to symbolize the empty bowls that TAFB is filling in the lives of families in need. The event guests then get to shop for more art pieces as they wish. For the event meal, we gather two dozen local restaurants, expo-style, to supply their signature dish for our guests to try. Last year, this event was attended by 600 of our top supporters and raised enough to provide 1.3 million meals to the community. A key part of the fundraising efforts are the raffle packages featured. Each raffle ticket provides 125 meals for those in need, and hundreds of tickets are purchased during the event. Any contribution to the raffle packages would be much appreciated!
