End of the Year PBIS Student Raffle
Other Event Type for Cook Elementary School Teacher / Parent OrganizationMay 26, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Cook Elementary School in the Garden Grove Unified School District is a Title I elementary school that relies on generous donations like yours to provide our students with enriching experiences and incentives that acknowledge their hard work and exemplary behavior.
A fundamental aspect of Cook is a positive and welcoming environment that supports students' behavioral and socio-emotional growth. Cook implements Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), a three-tiered framework used to support and improve student behavior and social competence at all levels. Currently in our second year of implementation, we created a schoolwide behavior expectation matrix and consequence system that’s explicitly taught and continually reviewed with students throughout the school year. We’ve also developed a student acknowledgement system that recognizes students who demonstrate our core values of being Responsible, Organized, Accepting, and Respectful (R.O.A.R.) in exchange for Lion Loot which can be exchanged for entry into weekly raffles, monthly recognition at assemblies, and student experiences. As a culminating schoolwide event, we hold an end-of-the year PBIS Raffle where students use their Lion Loot to win prizes and experiences in celebration of their excellent behavior throughout the school year.
Your generous donation would provide our students with an enriching experience they might not otherwise be able to have due to financial constraints and a chance to be acknowledged for their incredible hard work and commitment to their education at Cook! Please consider donating to this worthy cause for our students.
