In 2011, my children and I established The Connecticut Frontotemporal Dementia Foundation, Inc. in honor of, and now forever to be in memory of Kevin M. Harvey, my husband and father of our children.

The purpose of our foundation is to

-Promote the funding necessary for research in finking the cause, therapies and cures for FTD

-Supprt those diagnosed along with their families and caregivers

-Educate health professionals so that they have the knowledge and skills to work with FTD patients and families

-Advocate with Public Officials to provide adequate and appropriate programs and services

We are the only foundation of it's kind in the state and service the entire state hosting a support group meeting the 3rd Sunday of every month (did throughout Covid via google)

Since our inception in 2011, we have serviced over 100 support group members.  Being that this disease is so rare, this number is sizeable to us.

We have raised over $520,000 and made donations to FTD research, drug discovery, education, respite, caregiving and support group programs.

We established The Kevin M. Harvey name fund in 2015 and have donated $215,000.

We support a program called A Friend for Rachel. This program pairs medical students with FTD patients so that they may learn to recognize the signs/symptoms of the disease.  We have donated $50.000.
