In 1968, George Crumbley and The Lions Clubs of Georgia created America's first-ever collegiate charity bowl game. The founding purpose of the Peach Bowl was to provide ongoing funding for The Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation. The Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides vision services to the uninsured and underinsured Georgians who need it most.
Evening in the End Zone is an annual event dedicated to honoring the legacy of great athletes, coaches, and administrators who excel on the field and continue to make a significant, positive difference within those communities in need.
This year, we will Celebrate UGA's National Championship Legacy by honoring the Coaches and the Athletic Directors from 1980 and 2021. The event will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the College Football Hall of Fame.
