Hello Donation Match,

We need you! In order to continue supporting our school and students it takes community partners who are willing to join our efforts. Our Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) is run completely by volunteers; mainly busy, tired moms juggling family and work commitments. It’s been a rough few years for all and burnout is high. Our school has lost several great teachers and staff members, yet, we’re not giving up! In fact, we’re trying harder than ever to support our staff, stretch our finances, and build school spirit. However, we can’t do it alone.  

Our annual direct donation drive kicks off September 5th and runs through September 23rd. During these three weeks, we highly encourage our families to make a monetary donation. If they do so, we enter their student(s) name into a drawing to win prizes. Students will receive prizes at a school-wide assembly held after the completion of the fundraising drive. The assembly will be held at the middle school and approximately 900 students and staff members will attend. 

*Teachers and staff will also be given prizes for encouraging their students to participate. 

THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOU!

Our PTSO is asking Donation Match to donate a prize to Altadeña students, parents, and/or staff members as a reward for participating in our fundraising campaign. 

Money raised from this donation drive will allow the PTSO to accomplish the following tasks:

Provide almost $10,000 for all our teachers to buy school supply; that’s $200 per classroom
Fund capital improvement projects such as a scorers table for our athletics program, a sound system for the theater and arts department, and new uniforms for the JV basketball team
A monthly appreciation breakfast/luncheon for all teachers and staff (75 ppl)  
$1000 to purchase rewards for the good behavior incentive program. (The program is expanding into the community this fall. Business owners near the school will be given rewards to hand out to Altadeña students who showcase stellar behavior outside the classroom.)
Snacks for almost a thousand students during three days of lengthy state testing
Financial support for the Altadeña Cares Fund for students facing financial hardship
Grant funds for the school nurse, principal, and front office staff
$2,000 per grade for students to take a field trip 
$20 gift card for each member of our front office staff at the end of the school year as a thank you
Rewards for our teachers and staff during teacher appreciation week
Funds to support back-to-school night (such as creating custom apparel to build school spirit), a spring community event, and the 8th-grade promotion dance.

Create a digital ‘thank you card’ and post it on our social media channels. We will tag your company through your social handles.
A ‘thank you sign’ will be delivered to your business to hang up for marketing purposes.
