Our school, Northern Virginia Experimental Chinese School (NVAECS), was founded in 1991 and is registered in Virginia as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our classes are held from 2:00 to 4:00pm each Sunday during the school year. We now have approximately 350 students and 27 teachers and are considered one of the largest Chinese schools in Northern Virginia.

Our teaching philosophy at NVAECS emphasizes teaching through fun and learning from playing. We promote language education as well as cultural retention among the next generation and hope to foster a community to support these efforts. We apply non-traditional educational methods, such as cultural, social, sports and extracurricular activities, to supplement classroom teaching.

Our Fall Festival is one of the beloved activities by many NVAECS families. This event raises money from selling tokens for purchasing parents donated homemade dishes, from selling raffle tickets and from the silent auctions. Your donation, whether monetary funding, gift certificate, voucher or party package, will be part of the raffle prizes or the auction baskets to attract more attendees. The raised funds will be the necessary supplement to our great teachers for their classroom expenses in order to provide affordable Chinese language and cultural education continuously to anyone who seeks it.
