Description

Hello,

I represent Gloucester County Institute of Technology’s Family, Community and Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter. We are a high school student leadership organization with an emphasis on family and community leadership. GCIT students, who are culinary arts majors, compete in FCCLA sponsored events throughout the state and country. These events range from community service projects, to leadership exercises and culinary arts competitions. Students who perform well in these regional and national competitions are awarded medals and scholarship money for post-secondary education.

Travel expenses and registration fees are very expensive for these competitions. Fortunately, our district pays for a portion of the expense but there is still much needed funds to support our students.

Five years ago, our organization began the FCCLA Food Festival a fundraiser to help supplement our student’s costs for competition. This event, held at GCIT on Saturday November 5, 2022, is a wonderful fundraiser consisting of student competitions in culinary arts, pastry arts and food trucks (which is an opportunity for students to design a food truck and create an interesting food product). In addition, local restaurants donate food to both advertise their businesses and help our cause. We are very pleased that our event will return after a 2 year shutdown.

We are asking you to donate a basket or gift card highlighting the services or product your business sells, which will be bid on through a silent auction at our event. The size and content of the basket is completely up to your generosity.

            Tax ID # 22-1938077

Our young people are our future. I hope that you will give serious thought to our cause, and I thank you for your consideration.

Thank You,

Katie Arnold
