The Mount Pleasant Elementary PTA holds an annual Family Fun Night event that is a raffle/auction fundraising event. We have not been able to hold this event for the last few years and are looking forward to offering it to our families again. This year it will be held at Westlake High School on May 20th, 2023. It is a great fun-filled evening with games, raffles and prizes for everyone.

The Mount Pleasant Elementary PTA is focused on making every child's potential a reality. Our PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and the community, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

In the past, our fundraising efforts allowed us to purchase chrome books for our schools, provide funding for cultural arts and enrichment programs, indoor and outdoor recess equipment, and musical instruments. Past efforts afforded us an opportunity to provide teacher grants for reading and learning centers. We were able to provide supplies to aid in the transition to the new learning environment we have found ourselves in the last 2 years. These items and programs were not included in the schools’ budget, but with donations and help we are able to come together to achieve these goals. Our past fundraising efforts have supported our schools and teachers and we strive to continue to do so. This year we plan to match and increase our donation—but we need your help.

This annual fundraiser is successful because many businesses and people in and outside our community donate prizes. We are fortunate to raise a significant amount of money to support these and many other wonderful programs for our Hawthorne Elementary School, which is grades K-2, and Columbus Elementary School which is grades 3-5.

We hope you will contribute some significant item for our Family Fun Night. We are a 501c3 and your tax-deductible donation will help us to raise the funds necessary to continue in our mission. Enclosed is a donation form for you to complete and send back to the PTA Ways and Means Committee.
