“There is no other place like this on earth”.
It is the oldest and one of the largest conservatories in the United States. What better place to celebrate and honor animal life and nature’s beauty? It will be a wonderful gathering of people who have a place in their hearts for all animals on this earth, who have a common purpose in helping them to live healthy, peaceful lives. Join us to celebrate their lives in this lush, beautiful setting. Tickets are $100 each. All proceeds from this event will be used to house, feed and to provide medical care to the many homeless cats and dogs living at Famous Fido Rescue.
The event will offer a lovely vegetarian/vegan banquet of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Wine and beer are included with a cash bar for mixed drinks. Dancing to live music. Shop the Silent Auction and the Art Exhibit which will feature paintings by celebrated artists from across the US depicting Famous Fido’s cats & dogs. All art will be for sale and will benefit the rescues, while bringing awareness to animal abandonment. The paintings can also be viewed and purchased on our website or Facebook page. Attendees will also enjoy other exhibits and learn about endangered wildlife and the plight of wild birds, farm animals and carriage horses.
Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization. We rescue animals deemed “less adoptable” in high-kill city shelters, as well as those in crisis situations brought in by individuals. We have saved thousands of abandoned and homeless animals over the years. Countless animals lose their lives or wait months to be rescued from shelters. Once in rescue, the waiting game continues because there are senior cats and dogs, bonded pairs and some with behavioral or medical issues that are not readily adoptable.
Rescue is 24/7, 365 days a year! Each moment is a total emotional, physical and financial commitment that demands mind, body and soul. We live, breathe and dream rescue. We exist because there are far too many injustices to animals, and we cannot turn away. We strive to bring awareness to their plight and give a voice to the voiceless.
