Famous Fido's mission is to end the deaths of homeless adoptable animals now! Famous Fido Rescue is a 501(c)3 charity organization created to end the countless deaths of Chicagoland’s adoptable companion animals caused by overpopulation and an inability to match up these animals in a timely manner with loving guardians. We engage in hands-on rescue efforts of dogs slated for euthanasia from overcrowded facilities. We aim to significantly broaden Chicagoland’s ability to end pet overpopulation by forging alliances between concerned citizens, organizations, educators, lawmakers, Chicago shelters and rescue organizations who are committed to doing the same. Through these alliances, we will strive to create a more compassionate society and transform the way Chicagoans acquire, care for, and when necessary, re-home their companion animals

 Our St. Patrick's Day Party, and other event like this, are vital to keeping our center going. It costs about $30,000 a month to run Famous Fido Rescue, and this is before any unexpected vet bill! 100% of funds raised at Famous Fido events go directly to our four programs, and go towards the food, medical care, and shelter of the animals in our care. Many people in our community aren’t aware of exactly who we are or what we do, or the fact that we are a beacon of hope and more often than not- a last chance for helpless animals who have no voice.

We can’t meet our goal without the help and support of generous companies and individuals, which is why we ask for your support through a donation to help sponsor our event, support our programs, and help provide food, shelter, and medical care to the Famous Fido resident cats and dogs. We are also looking for in-kind gifts to be used as raffle prizes to raise funds.
