Description

The Living Coast Discovery Center is proud to announce the return of its 12th annual Farm to Bay celebration on Saturday, August 7, 2021. This unique event supports coastal wildlife, education, and sustainability programs at the Living Coast Discovery Center and we invite you to join us as a featured auction donor.

Farm to Bay is a unique tasting event set against the beautiful backdrop of San Diego Bay.  Guests sample fine culinary delights from local restaurants, breweries and wineries and experience up-close animal encounters and an exciting auction. Farm to Bay takes place on a national wildlife refuge and we are committed to producing a Zero Waste event, diverting up to 90% from landfills each year. In 2020, the event raised over $100,000 in net proceeds, generated through a combination of sponsorships, auction proceeds, and donations.

As a featured auction donor, you will align your organization with a special event that promotes sustainability and supports the Living Coast Discovery Center. In a typical year, the Living Coast welcomes up to 80,000 visitors including 25,000 students who explore nature trails, connect with wildlife, and experience hands-on, standards-based environmental education in a natural setting. Many of the animals at the Living Coast are injured or imprinted and serve as ambassadors for their counterparts in the wild to help everyone learn the importance of coastal resource conservation.
