Description

On November 10, 2020, the Young Lawyers Committee of the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA) and the FCBA Foundation will hold their 31th Annual Charity Auction gala. This annual charity auction has raised more than $1.8 million for organizations in the DC metro area over the past 30 years. The event will be held virtually this year, with a "live" online gala from from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. and an online auction that runs from November 6-12, 2020.  The event is free and open to the public. This year’s auction will benefit two great local charities: Reach Incorporated and the FCBA Foundation. Reach Incorporated recruits and trains DC high school students to become reading tutors and role models for elementary school students, resulting in improved literacy outcomes for both groups. Reach provides the support and tools teens need to succeed in high school through its four core programs — After-School Tutoring, College Mentorship, Summer Leadership Academy, and Teen-Authored Books — and will use auction proceeds to help support these vital programs. The FCBA Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports communications-related, educational, and other community service projects — particularly those directed towards children and students — and will use auction proceeds to support its annual scholarship program.  Your donation will not only help this year’s auction beneficiaries but will also provide you with additional valuable exposure in the community. You will be acknowledged as a donor in the prize description in the online auction and recognized in the FCBA’s monthly newsletter distributed to over 2000 professionals. Donors/donations will be further recognized/promoted through media/social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and the FCBA’s website, and in weekly email blasts to the FCBA's 2000+ members.
