Each year Thrive Women's Clinic celebrates women in honor of International Women's Day by hosting a fundraising brunch called Festa della Donna, which is Italian for a celebration of women. Our speaker this year is Amy Hannon. 

Amy loves to be in her kitchen making food for those she loves. She cut her hospitality teeth in her early twenties, living out her role as a preacher’s wife in the South where it’s a way of life to make and share food for just about every reason on earth. She learned quickly what a joy it is when friends bellow with laughter around a dinner table and tell stories after the plates are pushed away. Sharing good food and life together got in her blood.

After filming 160 episodes of an NBC affiliate cooking show, she authored a comfort food cookbook titled Love Welcome Serve in 2017. In 2022 she wrote and published Gather & Give, a biblical overview of the table that encourages you to share God’s heart through everyday hospitality. Amy’s hope is that she inspires hospitality in your heart and encourages you to love deeply, welcome gladly and serve faithfully so that in all things God will be praised (1 Peter 4:8-11).

Because this is a women's event the attendance will be mostly women. About 75% of these women reside in a very affluent part of Dallas known as University Park. The majority of these attendees are Christian conservative.
