This all volunteer organization, Giving Trees for Life, Inc., raises money by holding an event, The Festival of (Giving) Trees.  The proceeds of the event go to three specific agencies; the Cancer Center at Harrington in Southbridge, Silent Spring Institute, and the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition.  These agencies focus on cancer causing research, and prevention. The Cancer Center at Harrington   The money we donate is used to purchase equipment and provide comfort items not in the normal hospital budget that help patients during the treatment periods.   We also provide funding that helps support critical operational functions of MBCC, such as staffing for financial administration and general operational management  And Silent Spring has also been able to develop innovative new technologies and methods for reducing exposures to hazardous chemicals and helping manufacturers create safer products. Our average donation to EACH of our recipient agencies is $20,000 - $30,000 annually. 

This event draws thousands of people during the four day Festival.  Admission for the event is minimal at $3, free for children 12 and under and free for Seniors on Friday. Best of all, you do not need to spend a lot of money to enjoy a day at the Festival of {Giving} Trees. That is because of people like you, providing funding for entertainment, refreshments, Kids Grab Bags, raffles and much more.
