Festival of Trees
Other Event Type for Panhandle Community ServicesNov 17, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM
The Mission of Panhandle Community Services (PCS) is to work as a community leader and partner in the Texas Panhandle to change the lives of low-income people by bridging the gap from poverty to self-sufficiency.
The annual Festival of Trees event is an unforgettable night to view the most stunning Christmas Trees in Amarillo and hear remarkable stories of success from families helped by Panhandle Community Services. During our cocktail hour, guests are treated to live music and an open bar. During that time, guests can browse our silent auction's wonderful and unique items. These items are generously donated from local and nationwide businesses who believe in our Mission Statement. Guests are then treated to a plated dinner prepared by a local, renowned chef. After dinner, we have a live auction where the highest bidders take home their favorite, one-of-a-kind Christmas tree. Guests are able to make their final bids on the silent auction items during intermission. Winners are announced at the end of the evening.
All proceeds help low-income families overcome the day-to-day barriers they face that state and federal funding may not cover. Barriers such as car repair or certain school-related fees can prevent a single mother from completing her college degree. With the help of our donors, we are able to fill in those gaps so she can continue moving forward.
