Description

The FFYF Winter Tack Swap is an annual fundraiser for the Francis Field Youth Foundation. The Francis Field Youth Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that oversees the Francis Field fairgrounds in New Lenox, IL. This 17-acre facility was donated in 1958 for the community to use for youth and family-oriented events and since then has been named an Illinois Historic Landmark. Our goal at FFYF has always been to keep this unique, historic “green space” useful and preserved for the youth of Will County and their families. The foundation is run entirely by volunteers, and the operating costs of the facility are paid for by donations and various fundraisers throughout the year. The Tack Swap is an annual flea market where horse-enthusiasts and barn owners buy and sell their new or used saddles, bridles, show clothes, and other horse-related items. This is a very popular fundraiser for FFYF, and vendor spots sell out every year. FFYF manages a raffle table at the event, and all the proceeds go toward barn and facility maintenance.
