Description

We are hosting our 2nd Field of Dreams Casino Night and Auction Event.  We are seeking items for our live and silent auction.  Any and all donations will directly benefit the youth in our community. 


Here is a little about what we have accomplished to date.  The Midway Youth Support Organization’s mission is to support the underserved rural youth within the Midway RI School District to afford them the opportunities to participate in baseball, softball, and tee ball.


The Midway Youth Support Organization was chartered in July 2021 and tasked with the following initiatives:

-Revitalize our current recreational ball fields that had fallen into disrepair, securing continued opportunities for youth ages 5-18 to experience the joy of America’s pastime.

-Ensure these fields met our state’s current high school activities association requirements to allow our school district to implement a formal high school baseball and softball program.

-Provide the female athletes in our community an opportunity to continue to participate in the sport after the 8th grade which they previously did not have.

-Improve ADA compliance of the field complex to allow continued access to those with physical impairments.


In the summer of 2022 Phase 1 construction broke ground and the tee-ball, softball, and baseball fields were built and are game day ready for the spring 2023 high school seasons. The organization has moved into 2023 to raise funds for Phase 2 projects. These projects include a concession stand, bathrooms and storage facility, batting cages, accessible walkways and landscaping for wind and shade protection. The organization is committed to the continued efforts to support students and athletes in the Midway School District. 


The events hosted throughout the year are the core fundraising efforts of the organization and include Casino Night and Auction, Side by Side Poker Run, Softball Tournament and Golf Tournament. The success of these community driven events is in part to the sponsorships by individuals and businesses like yours.
