This year, we are excited to announce Fighters’ Weekend which will occur September 28th and 29th. We will continue our annual Golf Tournament and have added a Gala on Friday night to honor our local NICU partners and raise money for the cause.

A little reminder about our organization and why we Fight:

Kaylen’s Fight was created to honor our daughter, who passed away in 2018 from hydrops fetalis. Kaylen’s twin sister, Kamdyn, spent 63 days in the NICU due to prematurity but is now a thriving, healthy five-year-old – thanks to the wonderful care and support she received during her NICU stay.

Our mission is to assist families during NICU stays and provide ongoing support to NICUs, ensuring that each family has the best possible experience during their difficult time. In five years, we have started and maintained the Beads of Courage program, donated goodie bags for holidays, created bereavement boxes for families experiencing infant loss, and provided care packages for over 300 families with prolonged NICU stays. In 2021, we provided the NICU with a $25,000 donation for a much-needed laryngoscope, which helps visualize even the tiniest of airways when they require breathing assistance. This has been used to help over 50 babies with difficult intubations.

This year, we continue our goal to provide our local NICU with a transport isolette. This piece of medical equipment allows babies to safely travel to other units within the hospital for tests and procedures. The isolette can not only provide lifesaving interventions in emergency situations but can also be used to transfer babies from one hospital to another in case of an extreme emergency. One transfer isolette costs approximately $120,000.

Contributions you make to Kaylen’s Fight have a direct impact on families with babies fighting their way to health and will allow us to pursue our eventual goal of funding research to cure hydrops. 100% of donations go directly to the charity. Since Kaylen’s Fight is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations are tax deductible.
