Dear Community Supporter,

My name is Elizabeth Venegas, and I’m part of the counseling team at Newark Memorial High School. We’re hosting our first annual Financial Aid Awareness campaign as part of California’s All In For FAFSA initiative. We will be hosting raffles on the first Friday of each month for all students who have completed their financial aid application for college. These events help encourage students and families to complete their financial aid applications for college, but it also will raise awareness around college and financial aid across the community. These events will help us ensure that students in our senior class have access to the financial resources they need to continue their education after graduation.

We’re proud to announce that this year’s events will begin on February 3rd, 2023 and continue until our Senior Decision Day on May 1st, 2023 at Newark Memorial High School. We are expecting approximately 350 students to participate.

However, these events wouldn’t be possible without the support of businesses who provide valuable products and services so that we can support and encourage our seniors.

Would you be willing to make an in-kind donation of items we can raffle off to our seniors to help make this year’s events possible? Donations are tax deductible using our tax ID number 94-1717677.

If the item can not be mailed, reach out to me and I will work to arrange pick up by someone on our team. We can accept donations between January 9th and April 28th, 2023.
