First Federal Presents Price is Right for Fighting Child Abuse
Carnival/Festival for Lincoln County Coaliton Against Child AbuseMar 12, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
The 16th Annual First Federal Savings Bank Price is Right for Fighting Child Abuse is Saturday, March 12 2022. Last year’s event was once again a huge success with proceeds exceeding $28,000 and approximately 300 on-line guest and volunteers in attendance. These proceeds aid LCCACA in our continued effort to protect the children in our community who have become victims of abuse and to bring awareness, prevention, education and intervention programs to the community as they pertain to child abuse. This year’s in-person and on-line event looks to be our “Biggest” ever.
In Lincoln County in 2021 over 2000 children were reported as abused. While we agree that this is a large number of children, we feel strongly that more children are being served because more individuals are hearing our message that “child abuse is everyone’s business”. They are no longer turning their heads but are picking up the phone to file a report. Here at the LCCACA, we take our work very seriously. We are dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in all forms and providing intervention and treatment when our children have become victims. Child abuse and neglect have a devastating impact on the life of a child that goes beyond the incredible physical and emotional pain that is inflicted upon them. Most often these children suffer from behavioral problems that last a lifetime.
We can only do the work we do with the love and support of a generous community filled with people like you. We are already laying the groundwork for the upcoming event. We hope that you will consider making an early commitment to being a sponsor or a donor of a prize, large or small, new furniture, appliances, lawn mowers, vacation packages, jewelry and tickets to sporting events these are examples of prizes received and used in past Price Is Right events. If you have something to donate, please call our office and we will arrange to pick it up.
Thank you for your time and your consideration. We look forward to having a fun and successful event this year!
