Although our school is located in Oregon, we serve students from all across the United States. We are having an online auction, so that we can reach families and supporters all across the nation.

Wy’East Mountain Academy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, outdoor sports-oriented boarding school helping kids from all demographics challenge themselves athletically as well as academically. Our students, 7th grade through 12th grade excel in non-traditional sports such as skateboarding, snowboarding and mountain biking. We put equal focus on training outdoors as we do in holding class indoors. We are located at the base of Mt. Hood, Oregon offering the perfect setting for kids to experience the wonder of the great Pacific Northwest.

Because of our strength and emphasis in outdoor, action sports training, specifically snowboarding, skateboarding, skiing, and mountain biking, many of the students we attract to our school are from urban settings, under-represented settings, and from families that are in need of scholarships. We also tend to draw students that sometimes do better in non-traditional school environments and some that struggle with learning difficulties or other challenges that make them more suited to spend a lot of time being active outdoors. These children often thrive in our program. We have had students that went on to compete in the Olympics, X Games and other top-level competitions. Additionally, for the past three years running, we had a 100% college acceptance rate among our graduating seniors. Our school offers scholarships to roughly 80% of our student body. We do the best that we can to give financial assistance to families that need it but we also must make sure to cover our expenses to run the school. Our school strives to be more diverse, specifically enroll more students of color and from less privileged homes and we need assistance to do this.
