Description

Dear Potential Donors

I would like to introduce you to the Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency (FCCD). We are a non-profit organization chartered by the Florida Secretary of State, dedicated to promoting high professional standards for criminal justice agencies.

The mission of FCCD is to serve as a catalyst for the prevention and reduction of crime and delinquency and to enhance the quality of justice for all Floridians. We strive to improve the criminal and juvenile justice systems by examining problems, proposing solutions, and monitoring and evaluating the impact of those solutions.

Our membership is made up of professionals from every level – local, state and federal – and from any agency or non-profit organization working in criminal justice. FCCD members that you are likely to meet at training and community service events hold various positions such as police officers, probation officers, juvenile justice, and corrections – from all levels, field staff to senior administrators.

The Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency will be conducting our 87th Annual Training Institute held August 29-September 1, 2016 in Daytona Beach, Florida at the beautiful Daytona Beach Hilton. During the four-day event, an expected 300-400 members representing all fields of the Criminal Justice System will be present to participate in career-enhancement training sessions.

We are looking for Corporations and Businesses that may be willing to donate items for a silent auction. The proceeds from the silent auction will benefit our Statewide Community Service project which is the helping Living Stones International (LSI), with 70% of children of inmates finding themselves incarcerated within their lifetime, Living Stones' programs and services are preventive and an intervention measure.  LSI's programs and services teach fathers and mothers how to be better parents and more active in their children's life; offer children of inmates the tools to overcome obstacles and prevent them from following in their incarcerated parent's footsteps; and advocate on behalf of families to our community and government officials. Any assistance is always greatly appreciated. We will make sure that each sponsor receives recognition through both written and verbal media.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to review this letter. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
