Description

Dear Friend of El Amor de Patricia:

We are planning our 10th annual event For Guatemala...A Time of Hope 2022. Our festive gala will be held virtually again this year, live from Guatemala, on May 21st, 2022. During our live event, via the magic of technology, our guests will visit the village of Yalu, where they will see the water flowing! Our water project broke ground in Nov 2021 and has come to fruition as each home in Yalu now has running, potable water. Our virtual guests will also meet some of the people we support in Guatemala and see the progress of the school that we built in 2020. Our event will include special presentations and a chance to bid on unique and fun items in our silent auction.

We are in need of donations of items, experiences, services, etc. for our silent auction. Our silent auction is online and is seen by approximately 6000 people across the United States and Canada. Before our event, we spend time highlighting auction items via emails and social media posts as a way to not only promote the items but to promote the businesses who support our important work.

Our annual fundraiser brings in the much needed funds so we may continue to support
The orphanage Hogar de Niños del Amor de Patricia, an orphanage for abandoned, abused and neglected children in San Lucas, Sacatepequez.
The Bunk Bed Project, which provides beds to families in need, who otherwise sleep on twigs, cinder blocks or nothing at all.
The Education Program, which assesses the needs of individual families and assists them in creating a structured, functional environment, which helps keep their children in school through sponsorship, nutritional and homework support.
Colegio El Amor de Patricia, an English Immersion school in Yalú, Guatemala.

Thank you for your consideration, we could not provide these life-changing programs without the tremendous support from people like you.
