Dear Community Partner,

Forest Avenue Public School is hosting our 35th annual Fun Fair on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 6-9pm. This year’s event will support a variety of initiatives at our school, including augmenting our early years outdoor learning environment. This year we’ve set an ambitious goal of raising $18,000 and request your contribution to help us get there!

Our school is located in the heart of Port Credit with approximately 200 students from kindergarten to grade six. Funds raised at the Fun Fair are allocated by our School Council to enhance every student’s learning experience, both inside the classroom and out. This important investment into our community pays for class excursions, skating trips, in‐school performances, equipment purchases, a fresh fruit program and many other initiatives for the upcoming school year.

At the Fun Fair, our families and neighbours come together, as a school and community, for an evening of fun and fundraising. The school is transformed into a carnival‐like setting full of games, activities, food, and themed rooms.

Our community Fun Fair can’t happen without the generous support of individuals and organizations like you!

How can you support the students at Forest Avenue Public School?

• Sponsorship of a particular activity (e.g., inflatable activity, a themed room, photo booth) Sponsorship levels are available as low as $250. Additional sponsorship information is available on the backside of this letter.

• Donation of a product or service to be awarded in our Summertime Fun Contest. All donor names will be shared with the community and the parents via communiques and signage at the event.

• Donation to our Fun Fair Café. Our Fun Fair Café sells individually wrapped baked goods, treats and candy kabobs. The donor’s name or business name is included alongside to the items for sale.

• Cash donation directly to the school through a cheque to Peel District School Board specifying that the funds are to be sent to Forest Ave Public School. Peel District School Board has a charitable registration number
(108092008RR0001) and will issue a donation tax receipt.

Please communicate any intention to donate as soon as practical to allow enough time for processing and preparation for appropriate recognition. Contest prizes will be set by no later than April 15, 2023. Sponsorship and cash donations should be submitted by May 12, 2023, to allow sufficient time for equipment rental.
