The Gunderson Foundation was formed in 2001, to assist with school-wide programs and scholarships, which cannot be funded by the school or the San Jose Unified School District due to budget constraints. Since our inception, the Foundation has lived by the motto “Community Supporting Students”. The Foundation wants to be a resource and focal point in attracting community support for needs that would otherwise go unaddressed for this Title I school.

Our focus for this year is to raise money for peer-based programs where students support students during these challenging times of learning after the recent pandemic. With the support of Principal Dalal and the Gunderson Foundation, the student leadership team is developing a social wellness program, which will reduce stress and create a support system to the students at Gunderson High School.
