Franklin at Alma's annual Ice Cream Social will be held on March 27th, 2020, from 5 to 7:30 pm, on our school campus. This is an opportunity for Franklin students, parents and teachers to come together for a night of fun and fellowship. The Franklin Parent Organization provides live entertainment, a fundraising raffle and of course, free ice cream for all attendees. There is no cost for participation, students and parents can purchase raffle tickets for $2 a ticket and enter a drawing to win several baskets donated by local and national businesses and companies. Our school has 376 students, we expect at least 500 people at our event. All money collected from the sale of raffle tickets goes back to our school and is used to purchase much needed classroom items, and to sponsor learning programs and extra-curricular activities, sponsored and managed entirely by parent volunteers.
Franklin at Alma is a state "A" rated school, offering a 'back to basics' traditional program. We believe our students should focus their time and energy on academic activities instead of having to run fundraisers throughout the year.
