Franklin at Alma's annual Ice Cream Social will be held on March 25th, 2022, from 5 to 8pm, on our school campus. We have missed the last two annual fundraisers due to the pandemic and the kids are super excited to attend again! This is an opportunity for Franklin students, parents and teacher to come together for a night of fun and fellowship. The Franklin Parent Organization provides live entertainment, this year we have a BMX bike stunt show, a fundraising raffle and, of course, free ice cream for all attendees. We also have food trucks in attendance. There is no cost for participation, students and parents can purchase raffle tickets for $2 a ticket and enter a drawing to win several baskets donated by local and national businesses and companies. Our school has 380 students, we expect at least 500 people at our event, including students, parents, extended family and friends. All money collected from the sale of raffle tickets goes back to our school and is used to purchase much needed classroom items and to sponsor learning programs and extra-curricular activities which are sponsored and managed entirely by parent volunteers.
Franklin at Alma is a state "A" rated school, offering a "back to basics" traditional program. We believe our students should focus their time and energy on academic activities instead of having to run fundraisers throughout the year.
