Description

We are excited to announce that Franklin Fine Arts Chicago Public School, will host their Annual Spring Fundraiser event on Saturday, April 27th. We could really use your help making it vibrant, fun, and effective. The funds we raise go directly to the school to update our stage, tune guitars, dry clean costumes, and much more.

We hope you’ll consider joining us in supporting Franklin students by donating an item or experience to the auction.

Located along the Wells St. Corridor in the heart of Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood, Franklin Fine Arts Center is Chicago’s only citywide magnet school for the arts. The school has also garnered well-earned recognition–consistently ranked a CPS Level 1+ school and a US News & World Report Best Elementary School, and was recently featured on The Today Show.

With nearly 75% of Franklin’s students identifying as students of color and 50% considered low-income, Franklin students and families are truly representative of our city’s rich diversity. Franklin is committed to education equity and is a model designed to foster academic and artistic excellence, distinctively allowing Franklin to offer any Chicago child the opportunity to receive a free top-tier academic and arts education!

Unfortunately, CPS school budgets fall (incredibly) short of supporting the type of learning environment Franklin has created. It’s through the generosity of volunteers, donors, and the business community that Franklin students are given their best chance to thrive! The live and silent auction aspects of the Spring Social are critical to achieving our goals and making strides toward closing the CPS funding gap.

To donate to the auction, please email us or drop off the donation at the school by April 25th. Thank you for considering our request, and please feel free to contact me directly or ffacfundraiser@gmail.com with any questions or to discuss your contribution further. We can come pick it up!

For donations over $50 and upon your request, Friends of Franklin will promote your business by:

Advertising your item on our bidding site that will include your company logo, a description of your company with a link to your website, and a list of the services or goods offered.
Placing your logo and company description in the Friends of Franklin weekly newsletter.
Place a flyer in Franklin students’ backpacks about your business. (subject to school administration approval)

We also offer corporate sponsorship packages that include additional promotion at our Annual Spring Fundraising event, a banner on our school fence located along Wells Street in Old Town, and more

Thank you for considering us!
