I'm writing this today to ask that you consider supporting the 2021 Van Wert County Fair Free Entertainment Fundraising Auction. The auction for this year has been scheduled for August 6, 2021 at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. This will be during the Great 127 Garage Sales, so this will help possibly bring in new people from all over the country-that travel to find the bargains of the 127 Sales! We will also be having a chicken dinner to go along with the event as a fundraiser for the auction. We have conducted this auction for the past 10 years and have raised over $60,000. This year we have set a fundraising goal of $7,000 and with your assistance we will be able to surpass this goal.

Free entertainment is that which is available for the price of admission to the Fair. It's essential for us in providing value for our fair attendees and supporters. High quality family entertainment has helped to improve the fair’s attendance, allowing it to support various service clubs, youth clubs and other organizations that depend on and greatly benefit from the Fair. A strong county fair is a symbol of vitality for rural America today and helps create a sense of pride within the community.

In the past, Donations have been provided from sports organizations, entertainment attractions, celebrities, and businesses to help build a unique auction inventory. Items can range from business merchandise to gift certificates/cards, free attendance or tickets, or any other item(s) that you feel would be able to help make this auction a continued success. Cash donations are also accepted towards the free entertainment fund (please note this on the donation to be accounted for). Should you make a donation for the event, your business will be recognized the day of the event with being acknowledged by the auctioneer of the donation/donor as well as being in the auction items listing, mentioned on the fair website and social media postings, as well as pass out literature/brochures from your business (if provided) to pass out to our attendees. Any donation you can provide is greatly appreciated. I know we have all been affected by this pandemic and know that coming together to help out our communities will allow us to support each other and help when it matters the most. The Van Wert County Agricultural Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your donation may be tax deductible. A donation receipt letter will be provided, upon request for your donation of items. Our federal ID number is 34-4429710.
