I am writing to you today on behalf of the Friends of Aine Center for Grieving Children and Families. I am hopeful you will consider supporting Friends of Aine at this year’s 9th Annual Friends of Aine Kid’s Try-athlon, coming Sunday, August 15th, 2021! The purpose of this event is to raise money for the Friends of Aine Center for Grieving Children and Families, who provides peer-to-peer support services and resources to bereaved kids and teens. These services are FREE and we rely on the spirit of compassion and generosity of your organization.

In New Hampshire, 1 in 13 children will experience the death of a loved one before age 18. Childhood bereavement is a prevalent and critical public health issue that can have a profound impact on a child’s future wellbeing. These statistics don’t account for the number of children who lose a “parental figure,” such as a grandparent or other relative that provides care. Friends of Aine is the only nonprofit organization in New Hampshire whose sole mission is to support grieving families. That is why our services are imperative in helping children to effectively manage the emotions and sadness that follow a devastating loss.

We would be honored to have your organization be part of the event as a 2021 raffle donor. We are hopeful you will donate an item from your organization for a raffle basket. We expect this year to be our largest attended event to date, both racers and spectators alike, with a projected 1200 spectators attending!
