Description

Dear Friends,

On December 8, The Friends of St. Nick will host our 32nd Annual Charity Luncheon at the Four Points in Norwood. Each year we host this luncheon to honor outstanding members of our community with the goal of raising money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. In our 30-year-history we have raised nearly one million dollars through our raffle, auction and luncheon.

We are pleased to announce our 2023 St. Nick Person of the Year: Bobby Conrad. Bobby has been a fixture in Norwood since the early 90’s and has shown so many organizations and people his incrediable kindness and generosity.

For the better part of two decades Bobby was heavily involved in both the Norwood and Walpole football programs. As a volunteer coach of your Norwood Mustangs football team, Bobby was fortunate and proud to lead the team to a 2001-2002 Superbowl win. As much as the wins were important to the team, Bobby, made sure the organizations were taken care of long term helping with fundraising efforts and other off-field needs.

The fundraising and charity work that Bobby does is most often behind the scenes and that’s the way he prefers it. When Norwood lost one of it’s own, Danny Reen, back in 2003 Bobby put together a golf tournament to raise funds in his memory. He’s an advocate and supporter of giving back to the schools, sports programs, and other organizations. Please join us, and Bobby’s three children, Zach Chase & Skylar in celebrating Bobby and all he does.

We would appreciate, more than ever, if you would consider a donation for our event. Donors such as you are critical to our continued success. If you are able to contribute, we would be honored. We would be grateful if you were able to donate to this year’s event by offering a raffle prize, silent/live auction item or cash donation. All donors are recognized in our event Ad book. Please send your donation(s) to FOSN Box 814, Norwood or call at 781-762-0042, we are happy to pick up too.

Thank you,

Kate
