This event is a banquet dinner prepared and served by the high school students in our transition program and includes a silent auction, a live auction, and raffles. In the months leading up to the banquet, each of our students have several job assignments each week. The students are taught basic skills including counting money, making change, reading a schedule and recording inventory. They plan the meal, calculate the amount of food needed, create the shopping list, learn food preparation and how to handle food. They cook and serve our Friends of Woodlawn. They are learning responsibilities, cleaniless, customer serice skills, and social skills. Monies raised during this event will be used to enhance our academic programs by providing supplies and instructors for music, drams, dance, art, 4H, techology and to replace the broken sunshade. 

Woodlawn Community Academy is a special needs school. WCA's mission is to provide a high quality, individualized education to all students, regardless of ecocnomic background or intellecutal disability within a positive, safe environment.
