My name is Alexia and I am a board member for STAY READY Football. STAY READY operates under Frostee’s Challenge, a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to giving our youth a fair and ample opportunity to partake in recreational sports regardless of their family’s financial situation.

Founder Frostee Rucker is a Tustin native, two time USC National Champion, and 13 year NFL veteran. Coming from a challenging upbringing, Frostee was predominantly raised by a single mother who worked several jobs to provide for him and his siblings. At one point, he and his family even resided in a homeless shelter. He was fortunate to have crossed paths with a very giving and kind hearted football coach when he was in his elementary years. This coach took him under his wing, was a mentor and even purchased him his first set of cleats, as it was something his family was unable to afford. Such generosity and the profound impact it had upon him as a child is what laid the foundation for creating Frostee’s Challenge. Now retired from the NFL, Frostee has returned home to Orange County and is dedicated to making a similar impression on the local youth just as his childhood coach did.

We offer skills and drills training clinics in Tustin, an Afterschool Enrichment program for local elementary schools, private training instruction, a Zoom mentorship program & more. We have established a scholarship program for those individuals who are unable to afford such training, guidance or equipment. As a non-profit, we rely on our community’s support in order to generate additional funds and amenities for our events and our athletes.

For our second year in a row, we have paired with the City of Tustin Parks and Recreation to host a week long summer camp from July 11th to July 15th at Veterans Sports Park for those children aged 5 to 13 years. Frostee will be leading the camp and has lined up former NFL players, USC Legends, NFL coaches and Community Leaders that are generously willing to donate their time as guest coaches and mentors. Last year was a great success and we are excited and eager to continue with such positive momentum! We are hoping that with the support of our Orange County community, that we can offer these young athletes a boxed lunch to go home with daily, end of week prizes, as well as gift them a “swag bag” of products upon the commencement of the camp that Friday. Your donation will enhance our camp and make it memorable for the local youth.
