Trinity Cancer Care Center in Minot provides treatment for around 600 patients per year. Although the Center is located in Minot, this is the facility of choice for patients across Northwest North Dakota. A common barrier to oncology care is the financial strain put on a patient’s family. Because 55% of Trinity’s Oncology patients travel over 50 miles for a round trip, just commuting to the Center can be a challenge. Through a program started by the American Cancer Society, Trinity Health Foundation was able to supplement $8,400 in fuel costs last year. Because the ACS program has ended, we are working to raise enough money to pay for patients and their families to travel to and from the Trinity Cancer Care Center to receive their treatment.

Fuel the Fight is a fundraiser in conjunction with Dakota Square Tesoro to help raise funds to defer the cost of travel.
