Funday School’s 5th annual “Funday Run Day” fundraiser will take place on Thursday, March 2nd at First United Methodist Church Family Life Center. Over the last few years, we have focused fundraising efforts on creating an outdoor classroom for all students. This past summer we were able to break ground on that initiative and add playground surfacing appropriate for all students, an amazing sand area, and a stage. The creativity and learning we have seen take place in that space is incredible, and there is so much more to come. Our goal is to continue to enhance our outdoor classroom. We would love to add a water feature and an outdoor kitchen. Funday School can only provide scholarships and reduced rates because of the generosity of donors. Any additional proceeds go toward maintaining and updating curriculum and facility needs not covered by our budget. Funday Run Day began as a community event with a 10k, 5k, and Tot Trot. Because of the pandemic, we had to adapt our fundraiser. Our students collect pledges and participate in a Tot Trot.  Families are invited to attend and participate. There will be outdoor activities for the kids including bounce houses, carnival games, and a DJ dance party. Funday School also hosts an online auction during Funday Run Day with donations from the community and classes. We are asking you to consider making a tax-deductible donation for our Silent Auction. We will display your business information during the auction and promote your donations on social media. The auction is web-based and will run for two weeks. It is open to the public, and we encourage our participants to share it via social media and with family and friends.
