To Whom It May Concern:

Grace Community Church and Fusion Student Ministries will be hosting their 15th Annual Missions Auction on April 12, 2019. As a result of so many generous contributions last year, we were able to raise over $18,000. Our auction is the primary fundraising event we will engage in, so this one event helps us to support many different outreaches which we will participate in throughout the year, including:

*Community Outreach- Every month we provide dinner for a local fire station. This Christmas season, we are ministering to families in need. We will be providing Christmas gifts and other items to young children and single mothers. Additionally, we reach out to students from our community with a weekly gathering where they can spend time in a positive environment; hear an encouraging, constructive message; and receive ongoing support to help them through their current life challenges. We host a monthly social for students that provides a safe environment with fun activities.

*Family Outreach-We go a step beyond helping students in need; our desire is to meet the needs of entire families. We strive to support parents as they teach and train their children by developing character in our students, and at times, by meeting tangible needs such as school clothes, Christmas presents, or groceries. Additionally, we often partner with a local home that provides basic needs, education, and support for young pregnant mothers.

*National Outreach-Although we primarily focus on impacting our local community, we show our students the importance of reaching beyond ourselves by serving outside of our region each year. In 2018 we took a team to Donna, TX, located just miles north of the Texas-Mexico border. We worked at a community food bank, delivering food to low-income families within the community. We also worked on community beautification projects in low-income neighborhoods and provided a carnival and VBS program for the children in the community, sharing God's love by meeting both physical and spiritual needs. In June of 2019 we will be returning to Donna, TX to continue the partnerships and outreaches started in 2018.

Many people have already committed to be part of these outreaches in and around the community, and with the proceeds of the auction, we are hoping to make these events a huge success. 

What can you do? Where can you help?

Simply, we are asking you to consider donating a type of service, gift certificate, item of use, or gift basket to be auctioned. At the auction we make a point to recognize all of our contributors and the items they donated in a printed program, distributed to all who attend. Your donation is tax deductible and benefits our students in their outreaches this year.
