Description

Camp del Corazon will be holding its 21st annual Gala del Sol on Saturday April 13, 2024, at the Skirball Center’s Herscher Hall. This black-tie event includes dinner, an open bar, and expansive silent and live auctions. We are excited to be honoring Larry Wood of Edwards Lifesciences and Dr. Morris Salem of Kaiser Permanente. Our dear friend Tom Arnold will be returning as host.

All proceeds from the evening go directly to Camp del Corazon, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 1995, that provides FREE year-round experiential opportunities for children and young adults living with heart disease. Our programs include a residential summer camp for children ages 7-17 on Catalina Island, a weekend retreat for young adults ages 18-25, an educational symposium for heart families, and ongoing community-building activities year-round.

In 2024 Camp del Corazon hopes to serve more than 600 children and families through our year-round programs, including sending more than 300 kids to summer camp.

We hope that you will consider supporting our organization’s efforts with a sponsorship or   In-kind donation to our Gala. As a grassroots organization with over 250 volunteers, we rely upon this fundraising event to cover the costs of our programs so that any child or young adult with heart disease can participate free-of-charge.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. If you want to learn more about our organization, please feel free to visit our website at www.campdelcorazon.org.
