San Jose Jazz (SJZ) will hold a Garden Party Fundraiser, taking place on June 22, 2025 at the home of Melissa and Dan Gordon. We expect 150 guests to attend our in-person event as well as online auction and donation participants. The event will feature performances by our High School All Star U19s combo, Jazz Aid Fund recipient, Ryan Trujillo as well as a jam session to end the night with host Dan Gordon. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to fund our Jazz Aid Fund program. The Jazz Aid Fund program provides grants to local artists to produce new work in addition to providing developmental performance opportunities as part of our New Works Fest as well as our annual San José Jazz Summer Fest.

San Jose Jazz serves more than 1,000 students with five programs that work in tandem to foster learning, growth, and excellence in students throughout their academic journey from grades K-12, including our K-8 El-Sistema Progressions program, Summer Jazz Camp, High School All Stars, and various other school concerts and jazz camps. Our performance programming includes scores of free concerts and jams per year in San José venues and on our mobile Boombox Truck stage, we support the local ecosystem of musicians with gigs and resources that help them to do their work. With our Jazz Beyond programming, Jazz Aid Fund, and New Works Fest, we actively seek out new audiences and artists that are pushing the music forward.
