For the past eight years, our Gator Gallop 5K Fun Run/Walk has been a smashing achievement, although we have had to hold our event virtually for the past two years. We are excited to bring back the in-person Gator Gallop this year, and we look forward to a successful community fundraising event.

The 9th Annual Gator Gallop is planned for Saturday morning, April 9, 2022, around Wakefield’s beautiful Lake Quannapowitt.

The proceeds from this event will benefit the Greenwood School PTO and the Wakefield Educational Foundation (WEF). The Greenwood School PTO funds innovative classroom supplies, books for the school library, STEAM enrichment resources, and cultural school/community events. WEF provides a bridge to allow funding for handson learning that is unobtainable within the current school system budget. These needs are met with the generosity of businesses, organizations and individuals like you.

We respectfully request that your business sponsor our efforts by making a tax-deductible donation. We appreciate any donation, large or small, to help make our event a success. Enclosed is a Sponsorship Menu to help you decide what level is right for your organization. To ensure that you are able to secure the sponsorship level desired, we encourage you to respond by February 18, 2022. Upper level sponsors will have logo space on the race shirts, with other publicity options available for our Emerald and/or Event and Banner Sponsors. The energy around this event has been amazing in past years. Families and individuals of all ages participate, taking part as serious runners, leisurely joggers, walkers and cheering fans. Children are involved in both the 5K and the kids’ 1-mile event, and the pride in their accomplishments radiates from their faces. The event area, with vendor tables, refreshments, raffles, and activities will be abuzz with people from all segments of our and nearby communities.

The support and publicity from the local press has been considerable. Additionally, our own publicity engines ensure that every sponsor is visible, from websites and social media to t-shirts.
