The Greenwood School PTO seeks your involvement to help us raise funds while also increasing visibility for your business or organization.

For the past nine years, our Gator Gallop 5K Fun Run/Walk has been a smashing achievement, with great excitement around bringing the event back in-person last year! We are thrilled to be planning our 10th annual Gator Gallop this year, and we look forward to a successful community fundraising event.

The 10th Annual Gator Gallop is planned for Saturday morning, April 1, 2023, around Wakefield’s beautiful Lake Quannapowitt.

The proceeds from this event will benefit the Greenwood School PTO and the Wakefield Educational Foundation (WEF). The Greenwood School PTO funds innovative classroom supplies, books for the school library, STEAM enrichment resources, and cultural school/community events. WEF provides a bridge to allow funding for hands-on learning that is unobtainable within the current school system budget. These needs are met with the generosity of businesses, organizations and individuals like you.

We respectfully request that your business sponsor our efforts by making a tax-deductible donation. We appreciate any donation, large or small, to help make our event a success. Enclosed is a Sponsorship Menu to help you decide what level is right for your organization. To ensure that you secure the sponsorship level desired, we encourage you to respond by January 31, 2023. Upper-level sponsors will have logo space on the race shirts, with other publicity options available for our Emerald Event and 1-Mile Bib Sponsors. The energy around this event has been amazing in past years. Families and individuals of all ages participate, taking part as serious runners, leisurely joggers, walkers and cheering fans. Children are involved in both the 5K and the kids’ 1-mile event, and the pride in their accomplishments radiates from their faces. The event area, with vendor tables, refreshments, raffles, and activities will be abuzz with people from all segments of our and nearby communities.

The support and publicity from the local press has been considerable each year. Additionally, we ensure that every sponsor is visible on our website and social media, as well as on the print materials and race shirts.
