The Gingerbread Marketplace has become the signature holiday fundraising shopping event at St. John’s Episcopal Church and School that kicks off the holiday season! It is a one-stop shop featuring 50+ merchants, offering unique items for everyone, including home décor, gifts, food, apparel, toys, accessories and more. It is the best way to shop and give back during the holidays, as proceeds from each admission and special event ticket that is purchased, goes back to the Faith Builds the Future Capital Campaign.

This campaign marks a significant milestone for our parish and it presents a unique opportunity for a real and lasting transformation, and we are excited to invite you to be a part of this journey.

The Faith Builds the Future Capital Campaign is centered around the expansion and renovation of our facilities to accommodate the growth of our church, school, and ministries.

In 2019, we acquired the old Frost Bank building adjacent to our campus, which has since become integral to our operations, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic when it served as additional space for our school community. Now, we aim to renovate and integrate the South building with our original campus, creating a vibrant hub for Christian education, community outreach, and ministry.

With your support, we envision a future where our expanded campus not only serves our immediate community but also becomes a center for innovation, learning, and collaboration throughout the Rio Grande Valley. From a state-of-the-art STEAM lab to enhanced athletic facilities, your contribution will directly impact the lives of students and families, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and generosity.

The marketplace will feature a VIP Sparkles & Soiree Preview Party on Thursday evening with a hors d'oeuvres, shopping and signature cocktails, a vallet parking station throughout the event, a selfie station throughout the event, and a shoppers retreat/coffee lounge throughout the event.
